

She is a 4-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Female Vocalist of the Year winner. He spent 6 years as a member of the acclaimed Country Gentlemen and is a highly sought-after multi-instrumentalist and producer. Together, they are the top-charting, husband and wife duo of Darin & Brooke Aldridge, and they’ve just signed with Nashville’s burgeoning bluegrass label, Billy Blue Records.
Along with the announcement of their signing, the label has announced the release of a Christmas single, the inspiring, “Light of the Stable,”available to radio November 20th. The track is an uplifting holiday song, showcasing Brooke’s crystalline vocals, the duo’s rich harmonies and the impeccable musicianship that is a hallmark of the Darin & Brooke Aldridge sound.
“I first met Darin and Brooke years ago when I produced two of their earliest albums,” says Jerry Salley, Creative and A&R Director of the label. “I quickly fell in love with their music and with them as two of the most wonderful people you could ever work with. We have remained close friends throughout their incredible career, and I can’t find the words to properly express my excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to work with them and to welcome them as the newest members of our Billy Blue Records family. Our entire team is looking forward to this new journey together.”
Darin and Brooke, along with their equally talented bandmates, have crafted an unmistakable sound that has made them one of the hottest acts in acoustic music.
North Carolina natives, the Aldridges and their band have placed several tracks at the top of Roots, SiriusXM, Bluegrass and Gospel charts. They have received multiple nominations from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) and Inspirational Country Music (ICM). Their music videos have been heavily featured on outlets including CMT, GAC, Bluegrass Ridge TV and The Bluegrass Situation. TV appearances include PBS, The Circle Network, Great American Gospel, The Bluegrass Road, RFD-TV, Blue Highways TV, Song of the Mountains, Woodsongs, Larry’s Country Diner and Country Family Reunion. The duo have also become familiar faces on the stage of the iconic Grand Ole Opry.
Brooke has been lauded for having one of the most powerful voices in music of any genre. Darin was named the IBMA’s Momentum Mentor of the Year in 2017 for his efforts at teaching and mentoring youth on guitar and mandolin and for giving unselfishly of his time and talents at public events at places like the Earl Scruggs Center in Shelby, NC.
Before the pandemic, Darin & Brooke maintained a consistently vibrant touring schedule, including shows with IBMA Hall of Famer and New Grass Revival/Doobie Brothers legend, John Cowan; Country Music Hall of Famer, Jimmy Fortune, which whom they’ve also recorded; plus tours that included stops in Prague, Czech Republic; Ireland, and high profile festivals and venues including Merlefest, and the County Music cruise, Opry at Sea.
They participated in the all-star cast of “All Come Together,” a song and video benefitting Samaritan’s Purse with proceeds helping victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Noted musicians from the worlds of Country, Rock, Blues, Gospel and Bluegrass took part in the project; the brainchild of award winning co-writers John Berry and Chuck Jones. Darin and Brooke joined Blues legend Keb’ Mo’, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Oates (Hall & Oates), Doobie brother John Cowan, Country stars Bryan White, Heidi Newfield (Trick Pony), Casey James (American Idol), Collin Raye, Robin Berry, Dave Innis and Paul Gregg (Restless Heart) and Americana and Gospel great Mike Farris for the fundraising song.
Collaborators and guests on their earlier recordings have included Cowan, Sam Bush, as well as New Grass Revival member Pat Flynn, Country Music Hall of Famers Vince Gill and Jimmy Fortune, Grammy Award winners Mark Fain, Barry Bales and Ron Block of Union Station, and more. Darin and Brooke have released 8 albums.
The year 2020 has seen the power duo land multiple top charting singles as well as hold the #1 slot for 5 weeks on the Roots Music Reports “Top 50 Contemporary Bluegrass Chart.” On October 1st, Brooke was named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year for the 4th consecutive year, tying her with the legendary Alison Krauss for the third most wins in the category total, and second most consecutive wins in the association’s history after Grand Ole Opry member Rhonda Vincent.
